Bible Quizzing is a competitive sport combining mental and physical ability.  Quizzes cover a different part of the Bible (New International Version) each year on an eight year cycle.  Each month quizzers receive sample questions and memory verses to be used during the next month's quiz.  Quizzes are held once per month in Rochester on Saturdays which start at 1:00 pm and finish around 5:00 pm.  Quiz teams are made up of 2 to 6 members.  Bible Quizzing is designed to promote fun, spiritual growth, friendship and an increasing knowledge of God's Word.

Who Can Quiz

There are two age divisions and three leagues.  Little League is for 4th through 6th grade.  The "A" and "B" leagues are for the 7th through 12th grades.  The "A" league is for more advanced quizzers.  If there is not a sufficient amount of quizzers to fill both "A" and "B" leagues, they are combined into one.

• Bible quizzes are held in Rochester one Saturday per month.
• Practices are held at Grace Evangelical Free Church one night per week.
• Each Bible quiz team has up to 6 team members.
• Only 4 team members can quiz at any given time.
• Your team quizzes against two other teams.
• Each quiz has 20 questions.
• The fastest person to jump off the chair gets to answer the question.
• Each correct answer is worth 20 points.
• Each correct free answer is worth 10 points (only your team is jumping).
• Bonus points are awarded to your team when certain milestones are obtained (three quizzer bonus, 4 correct individual answers without error).
• 4 correct answers and you "quiz out" of the quiz.
• 3 errors and you "error out" of the quiz.
• Ribbons are given to the top 3 teams and top five individuals of the day.
• Out of town tournaments are available.
• Pizza Party after last quiz of the season.

Bible quizzing at Grace Evangelical Free Church runs September through March.  Both the A/B League and Little League meet Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm.
