Lead Me To The Cross
At the core of the Christian message and life is the cross of Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but what does that mean? The Christian is supposed to pick up his cross and follow Jesus, but what does that mean? The Christian life is one living under the influence of the cross, but again, what does that mean? In the next six weeks through Good Friday we will explore the meaning of the cross as the Apostle Paul outlines this topic in the letter to the churches in Galatia. In that letter he makes six affirmations about the cross and its influence on all of the Christian life. First, Pastor Grams gives and overview on the importance and centrality of the cross, then we will follow the outline in Galatians for the next six weeks:
1. The cross and salvation - Gal. 1: 3-5
2. The Cross and experience - Gal. 2: 19 -21
3. The cross and substitution - Gal. 3:13
4. The cross and transformation - Gal.5:24
5. The cross and persecution - Gal. 6:12
6. The cross and proclamation - Gal.6:14
