God calls us to love him and love people…come see how the Word fuels our love for God which bears the fruit of a holy influence on those around us.

Meet Mandy Dunbar,
our Keynote Speaker

Mandy serves as a staff member at Hardin Valley Church in Knoxville, TN, ministering to children. She is married to Derek and has one son, Kai, who they adopted in 2020. Motherhood is the greatest gift and most spiritually enriching and challenging journey she has embarked upon. Mandy felt called to missions at a young age and, throughout her faith journey, has come to understand that missional work is the calling of all followers of Christ, through any occupation or situation. She firmly believes that the Lord will guide your steps when you say “yes” to the Spirit at work within you.

Mandy has most recently spoken at the Equip conference in Orlando, FL and is in the midst of teaching a year-long series on prayer for middle and high school ladies at a local Christian school. Mandy served as a missionary at a children’s home in Paraguay and an elementary school teacher in Tennessee before working formally in children’s ministry. In her extra time, Mandy is the volunteer coordinator and a performer with Knoxville Princess Parties.

Keynote Address: Influenced by Our Maker

  • Tagline: “Hearing the Voice of the King”

  • Key Passage: Daniel 6

  • Description: God has called us to influence this world. We are to be the “light of the world - like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” We have work to do, but to do it, we must be influenced by our Maker.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS

There’s something for everybody - check out this lineup of breakout options! Some are offered twice in order to give you a chance to attend the ones of most interest to you (see schedule below). There are even two breakout sessions just for youth.

Your Influence is Significant (Whether You’re Trying or Not!)

  • Facilitator: Korrie Johnson

  • Tagline: “You Cannot Not Leave a Legacy”

  • Key Passage: Deuteronomy 6:6-9

  • Description: Parents who are present with their children are the most influential people in their entire lives. If you’re a mom or hope to be one someday, come hear why (and how) your influence in the home is a role God ordained for you and learn how to live out this calling with an eternal impact.

Influence for Eternity

  • Facilitator: Katie Bunne

  • Tagline: “Each One Can Reach One”

  • Key Passage: Matthew 28:18-20

  • Description: There are two words that frighten a lot of Christian women: evangelism & discipleship. These words are much less intimidating when reframed under the scope of just one important word: relationship. Katie walks us through how to build impactful relationships with both the lost and found within our circles of influence.

Influential Women of the Word and in the World

  • Facilitators: Laura Jobes and Susan Gisler

  • Tagline: “What We Can Learn from Women in and of the Bible”

  • Description: There are many examples in Scripture and throughout history of women whose influence spread far and wide - some for good, some for bad: mothers who influenced their children, wives who influenced their husbands, even a queen (Esther) whose influence saved a nation. The Bible provides so many examples of the far-reaching influence of women in the home, workplace, church, community, and government. No matter your role or stage in life, YOUR influence matters!

Influenced by the Word to Influence Others

  • Facilitator: Cindy Dunbar

  • Tagline: “The Pressure’s Off”

  • Key Passage: Hebrews 4:12

  • Description: You don’t have to be a great leader or “influential person” to be used by God to impact others. Since the Bible was primarily meant to be read in community, when you utilize a one-to-one Bible reading method, the Holy Spirit influences YOU and another person in your sphere of influence at the same time. This could be someone as close as your best friend or spouse, but could also be a co-worker or acquaintance who has never read any of the Bible. You initiate the conversation and God does the work.

Broadening Our Influence: Opening the Church Doors Wider to the Special Needs Community

  • Facilitator: Michelle Higgins

  • Tagline: “EVERYONE is invited!”

  • Key Passage(s): Luke 14:15-23, John 9:1-5

  • Description: Jesus taught in Luke 14 that special needs people are Kingdom people! This session is for moms of special needs children, those who teach children in the church, and those compelled to minister to those with special needs.

Are You an Influencer? Then Who Is Influencing You? (Youth Session)

  • Facilitator: Mandy Dunbar

  • Tagline: “Transformed not Conformed”

  • Key Passage: Romans 12:2

  • Description: When you are filled with the Word, that inflow becomes overflow to others. Instead of being a thermometer that simply gauges the temperature around you, you become a thermostat that sets the temperature - influencing those around you just as you have been influenced by God’s Word and godly mentors.

Your Identity Determines Your Influence (Youth Session)

  • Facilitator: Kayla Regnier

  • Tagline: “You Are Who He Says You Are”

  • Key Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:17

  • Description: Who are you? Are you defined by your talents, sports, academics, being a perfect kid, doing good/bad things, or not being good at anything? No! Your identity is in Christ - and you are who He says you are! We’ll look in depth at what HE says about YOU.
